My Cruise experience- Bangalore, Kochi, Lakshadweep, Mumbai
Hi! Today I am going to be writing about my first cruise experience.
This year I had an amazing Christmas vacation! Our family decided to go on a luxury island cruise on MV EMPRESS which goes from Kochi to Mumbai via the gorgeous islands of Lakshadweep.
On day one, we reached Kochi 6 hours before the cruise boarding time. To utilize the free time we started searching interesting things to do in Kochi. We quickly got a cab and visited Adi Shankaracharya's birth place and his mothers remains. After that we had a delicious Malabar themed lunch and arrived at our cruise boarding place. For about half an hour we had to sit in scorching sunlight and heat. But, when we entered the checking building, it was filled with the freshness of A/C...... I was relieved. When we got our room keys we took many pictures with our cruise and went in. Our room was as cold as I needed and the soft mattresses made me jump up and down. The bunk beds looked cool but they were not yet opened because we needed an attendant to open it for us. Last but not least, we had a giant window which was facing the sea making our journey more beautiful. Our cruise was a massive hotel and I felt so good that me and my friend who had come along with us {with her family} went exploring. Soon we ate a scrumptious lunch and went for swimming. Th pool was amazing and cool. Right near the pool were 5 jacuzzis! We swam for like one and a half hour and then relaxed in the warm and relaxing jacuzzi. When we dried up we went to the theater to see a show the crew were performing. They did amazing folk dances which stunned me! We quickly had a delicious dinner. I was sleepy...... After dinner, I slept.
On day two, my friend told me that she and her family along with my parents partied last night. I wasn't that sad about missing it but I was very excited about exploring the island! We were reaching a small island in Lakshadweep named Agatti island. I was excited to get off and do some beach swimming! We booked our ferry and happily reached a beach. We swam there and went to another beach which was named Lagoon beach. This beach was even better than any other beach I had seen! Crystal blue water, cotton soft sand and cool waves which threw me around! Ahhhhh.....We enjoyed there and soon went back to join our friends. We swam for 5 hours! Exhausted, we came back to our cruise and went to the theater to watch an amazing magic show! The show was not like anything I had ever seen! It was mystical and enchanting..... We quickly ate a lavish dinner and again, I felt drowsy and even before anyone came back to their rooms, I went to sleep.........
The last day. day three. There was supposed to be a rock climbing competition but I missed it. Anyways, we had a tasty breakfast and started loitering around. Me and my friend went to the library and the arcade and many more amazing places on the cruise. Our parents went for some party while we watched a lot of TV in our rooms. Before we knew it, we had to go to lunch. After that we watched more TV until it was time for the last show. I must say the last show was the best play I had ever seen and I was so impressed. It was dramatic and the characters had extremely real expressions! We all quickly slept because we knew that we had a very long day tomorrow.
We were out of the cruise at about 9:30 and quickly got a cab. Then we went to the legendary gateway of India which was followed by a heavy and yummy breakfast at the old leopold cafe. After that, we went to Siddhivinayak temple and got blessings. There was a long line and we waited for about 45 mins to get in! But, it was worth it! The ganesha was beautiful and the prasad was even better than chocolate! When we came out we drove to the huge villas of Sharu Khan and Salman Khan. We clicked a lot of photos and we continued our journey. We felt hungry and ate the delicious local food of Mumbai, vada pav. It was spicy but amazingly tasty! After finishing the vada pav. we went to my mom's old friend's home. My parents spent time sharing a lot of old memories and events. This was followed by going to the airport. It was very exciting because we drove through the sea link. On the way, we stopped by Leela palace and had lunch with the GM and my dad's friend. We were dropped at the airport by Leela's personat cars wich in my opinion was very grand! We were early so, I bought candy and enjoyed some of it. We sat in our flight and quickly took off. I think I slept for 15 mins but when I woke up, me and my dad
watched an amazing action movie! When we landed, a cab was booked and we headed back home. The airport is far from our apartment so I had a good nap before reaching home at 11:00pm! I was tired and quickly crashed on the bed going into dreamland instantly.
